The next TechTalk organized by the FILMAKADEMIE Baden-Württemberg, the HOCHSCHULE DER MEDIEN, the MEDIA SOLUTION CENTER and AMCRS and by the FILM COMMISSION STUTTGART will take place 25th this month and we are happy to be hearing the talks this time from Volker Helzle and Jonas Trottnow from the Filmakademie as well as from Jan Fröhlich from the HdM.
All tech interested people (and nerds) are welcome, no need to sign up, but make sure to come early as there are only so many seats. There is a bar where you can get a cool drink and there will also be some snacks afterwards.
When: 25th Juni from 6:30 pm
Where: Das Gutbrod Friedrichstrasse 10
Also be aware that when you participate in this event you agree to be filmed and photographed.
This is something for your kids everybody! The very creative idea of MITMALFILM (free translation co-painting-film) by Uli Seis was founded during ASF in 2017/18. How it works? You take a coloring template and start drawing, the finished work has to be scanned then with an app and from then on, it’s gonna be an animation film! This is so genius that the MDM Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung is now supporting it. Congrats!
For the next ASF you can still submit your work until the end of the month May 31st http://animationsansfrontieres.eu/
The AMCRS and Design Offices Stuttgart hosted this killer workshop with KeenTools yesterday for our members and the hands-on event was well visited and appreciated! Thanks again for participating!
For all interested people this is what KeenTools is about, check them out:
KeenTools is a suite of tracking-related plugins for Nuke. The main goal is to make tracking as easy as possible, ultimately not requiring any work at all. At the moment the main plugin of the suit is GeoTracker — a tool for tracking of rigid and deformable 3D models. With FaceBuilder you can create a precise 3D model of human head and face based on a couple of photos of an actor or even on just a single frame of a footage where you want to track that face or head later. To track head and face models you can use either GeoTracker (head tracking), or FaceTracker which lets you track facial gestures. They have a number of helper plugins as well: ReadRiggedGeo — importing deformable 3D models into Nuke, TextureBuilder — creating textures of tracked (or "pinned") objects, and PinTool — placing 3D models on a footage (e.g. "manual" tracking).
Presented last week during the ITFS for the first time is Studio Seufz’ new ad and explanatory video for the AVARE app, which controls the information collected through your apps and protects your data! Developed at the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie and commissioned by the Baden-Württemberg-Stiftung, you can download it here.
We are very proud and pleased with the outcome of last weeks WOMEN IN ANIMATION PANEL during the FMX 2019! The discussion hopefully threw some light onto the underdeveloped situation of women in the Animation and VFX Industry, where they are still a minor and underpaid. Annegret Richter, CEO of AG Animationsfilm, and a couple of other successful women want to build an Initiative inspired by the “Women in Animation in America”. First step is to get feedback in to actually tackle the right problems, so it is up to you now to help them get this great project rolling and they would love your support by filling out this survey!
If you are one of the lucky ones with tickets to the FMX and ITFS 2019 you probably have seen our brand new showreel playing at our booth 1.7! Right in time for these events every year our HEROES of AMCRS wanna show off a little with their best works on Animation, Visual Effects and Gaming from the last 12 months! And we are damn proud of them! So here it comes:
The Heroes of Animation, Visual Effects and Games are in town! During the FMX, ITFS and APD the studios of the AMCRS will be presenting their work and showcase their insights! You can find the program overview below, also make sure to visit the AMCRS booth 1.7 in the marketplace at Haus der Wirtschaft.
