HdM brings VR Game to the Museum Hohenasperg

The final project of Eva Mattausch studying Audiovisual Media at the HOCHSCHULE DER MEDIEN is a Virtual Reality Game in cooperation with the “Haus der Geschichte Baden-Württemberg” now available to play at the Museum Hohenasperg in Ludwigsburg until 3rd of November 2019.

The Game is about the intertwined fate of two prisoners and the visitor has to solve interactive tasks on the way to find out about them. Have a go, it’s only 4€!

Fingers crossed for Filmakademie @FIRSTSTEPS Award

No less than 6 nominations from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg for this year’s FIRST STEPS Award - congratulations already! The award show will be held at Stage Theater in Berlin, 9th September and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Hochschule der Medien and FRESH TRASH

In only 4 months the students from Print Media Technologies as well as Advertising and Kommunikation of Hochschule der Medien created the product FRESH TRASH and even produced it at the university. The product shows critics to nowadays consumer society with more than 600kg of waste per person per year in Germany. The students collected waste and published more than 400 different food- photography pictures with more than 170 advert slogans.

The collection will be shown at the Frankfurter Buchmesse in fall 2019!

Filmakademie rated on of Top 10 VFX Schools!

The Hollywood Reporter released their annual rating of the Top 10 Visual Effects Schools in the World and again the FILMAKADEMIE is named, with only 5 other international schools! The Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and Animationsinstitut were in the spotlight this year with the FMX Conference in Stuttgart as well as countless prizes! Congratulations!

Filmakademie Alumni with FIRST FEATURE FILM!

The two alumni Philipp Klinger (script/director) and Simon Thummet (script) from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg are filming in Baden-Baden right now for their first feature film “Albträumer” (engl. Nightmares). The project is supported by SWR and the MFG Medien- und Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg. Until the middle of August they will be filming the family drama, in total only 25 days.

The script is about a 17 y/o girl Rebekka who’s brother commits suicide but she finds out more details only afterwards.

Animationsinstitut @Siggraph2019 LA

With no less than two projects the students of ANIMATIONSINSTITUT were at this years SIGGRAPH conference in Los Angeles!

With Beate Höllers game trailer “Kinky Kitchen” - which you know already from FMX 2019 - and the VR Experience “MindPalace” by Carl Krause - proud ROOKIE award winner - the Animationsinstitut had two very good representatives!
